Remire Island, Seychelles
The island is 150mi west of mainland Mahe, Seychelles. The island has many attractions such as bird life, nesting turtles and its greenery. This island is also inhibited except for a brand new lodge that caters to divers and fisherman.
Remire Island is part of the Amirantes group and has never been used for tourism before. It was previously a private getaway for the ex- president of the Seychelles.
Anglers will be spoilt for choice of fishing on this trip, with nearby 2 atolls on either side of Remire Island; nearby African Banks, St Joseph Atolls and Lady Denisan Banks. Chasing Bonefish or casting fly to GTs on the flats, jigging for Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna, Marlin and even Swordfish and not to mention casting lures to hungry GTs! The number of fishing spots is nearly limitless.
AFRICAN BANKs is about 15mi north of Remire Island and is the northernmost landfall of the Amirantes group and consists of two islets, North and South that lie 2km apart, close to the edge of the Amirantes bank. This islets are rich in marine life and rarely fished.
LADY DENISON BANKS is located 5mi off African Banks in a north westerly direction; it has a drop off of 500m and rising up to only 60m with nothing else around it. It has been known to produce monster Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Marlin and even Swordfish!
ST JOSEPH ATOLLS is about 15mi south of Remire Island. It has fishable area of about 24 square kilometers between flats and lagoon. It is an Atoll that is made up of huge sand flats and a big lagoon in the middle and several smaller islands dotted around the main Atoll. St Joseph offers amazing fishing both blue water and on the flats, it has a huge population of bonefish, often in big schools and not to mentioned GTs!
The lodge is brand new. It is fairly simple with everything one needs It can accommodate 8 guests, basic but comfortable with a little bar with unlimited ice and plenty of cold drinks, air condition rooms with en suite bathrooms (4 x twinsharing).
Food will be typically local cuisine and packet lunches will be provided during fishing, drinks will be extra.
Fishing will be carried out on 3 boats; a 50ft Cabo and 2 x 19ft aluminum tenders. With a maximum of 8 anglers on each trip, 2 anglers will fish on the aluminum tenders and the remaining 4 anglers on the 50ft Cabo.

The rate includes:
- 8 days (7 nights) full board
- Domestic flight to and from Mahe (Seychelles Capital) – 15kg baggage max p/p

- Soft Drinks, Bottled water and Alcohol
- Landing fees on Remire Island @ US$25 per person

Guidelines and Information
Camp Manager – The camp manager will liaise with guests on a daily basis for planning of the various fishing activities. Any questions during your stay can be directed to the camp manager.
Alcohol is available at the camp bar. We do accept for clients to bring their own alcohol from duty free but not exceeding the legal amount. It is not allowed for guest to give alcohol to members of staff of the CWFC nor the island staff.
Smoking cigrettes or cigars are allowed on the island but not under any roof as per the law of Seychelles.
Insurance – It is essential that all participants have a comprehensive medical emergency evacuation insurance policy.
Fishing Days – Saturday late morning/afternoon (depending on flight schedule) Sunday – Friday 6 full days
Fishing – The lodge believes in catch and release and we expect its guest to practice the same. It is recommended for guest to bring their own fishing equipment (Rods/Reel/Line/Lures etc). However due to the limited payload of the aircraft, Jigs, Poppers, hooks, line is available for purchase on the island.
Flora & Fauna – The island is full of gods amazing gifts to our planet, please do not touch or interfere with nature. Take Photographs!

The Camp manager also a Captain will be in charge of the fuel stock, invoicing of the fuel.
The camp manager/captain has the final say in cancelling or refusing a client(s) to board the boat for fishing. i.e. weather, consumed too much alcohol, etc.

Bookings will be made with 50% deposit of the total value upon confirmation. Last payment of 50% will be made 90 days prior to trip start date. For any bookings made 90 days or less before trip start date, we request 100% payment.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
For a cancellation received more than 6 months before the trip start date: we will refund 50% of the deposit received minus the bank charges.
For a cancellation received between 6 months and 120 days before trip start date: we will refund 25% of the deposit received minus the bank charges.
For a cancellation received between 120 days and 90 days before trip start date, there will be no refund on the deposit.
For a cancellation received 90 days or less before trip start date, 100% of the total value of the trip will be forfeited.
Cancellations must be in writing by email.
Deposit or full payment made will only be refunded if a replacement can be found.
In Case of cancellation by Monsterfish Expeditions, money received will be paid back in full excluding banking charges. Monsterfish Expeditions will not be held responsible for any currency fluctuation that may arise at the time.
